Our Services

Whether it’s a minimum of 1 hour several days a week to 24-hour complete care (live in or out), we can tailor a package of care to suit you. Your care plan is always created in discussion with you and your family or health care providers and is driven by your needs. It is always reviewed and, if necessary, fine-tuned in the first few weeks so there’s no need to worry about not being 100% sure what you or your loved one needs straight away.

Most of the time our visits offer a mix of services e.g. a 1-hour visit may include helping a client get up and dressed, preparing breakfast, prompting the taking of medication and chatting while we wash up or dust. Our complete range of services include;

Personal Care

We can help with bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, oral care and incontinence provisions. All is done with the most discreet care.

Housekeeping

From washing the dishes to complete home care and everything in between we can help. Do you need your plants watering or your pets fed? We’re happy to get involved in aiding your daily routines. This help is often combined with a visit for personal care or meal preparation as time allows.

Meal Preparation and Shopping

We can take you shopping, providing constant support or even just company. Or give us a list and we can get exactly what you need. We’re even happy to bring it all home and cook for you.

Socialisation

We understand the positive effect a good chat with a friendly face can have. Let us make you a cup of tea and talk about your day, take you out to lunch or maybe assist with your journey to and from the doctors or hairdressers.

More Specialised Care

If you or your loved one is in need of more dedicated and specialised care we can help with that too. We have a team of specially trained carers to suit your specific situation, whether that be caring for dementia sufferers or those less physically abled.

Night-time Care

We are on hand whenever you need. If you’d prefer someone to be there in the early hours or know someone who suffers from waking during the night we can be there to ease their fears.

Live-in Care

If you feel you’re in need of constant care then we do provide live-in assistance. Live-in care provides 24-hour companionship and support with peace of mind for you and your loved ones.

We always try to allocate a regular group of Carers to each of our clients, with one or two regular Carers. We understand that it’s daunting to not know who is caring for you, so we ensure that you have met and are comfortable with the team of Carers you will have. This way, even if your regular Carer is off sick or on holiday you will always have met the Carer who calls in to see you. In the rare cases we do have to send in other Carers due to unforeseen circumstances, we will always try to call you first so there is never any surprises.

The cost will depend on your individual financial circumstances and package of care you need.  Some clients qualify immediately for the States of Jersey Long Term Care scheme. Other clients need to self-fund in the short term and then LTC takes over. Differently, some clients need to pay for their own care until they have spent to the LTC threshold on assessed care needs (currently about £56,000).

We are happy to talk to you and find out your specific needs, budget and aims to make the care you receive work best for you. To find out more please contact us and we will arrange to pop in and see you for a chat and a quote.  This is a free assessment with no obligation.

We understand that care is never straight forward and life can throw obstacles in the way. That’s why we’re flexible. We can increase or decrease your care packages to suit your needs, even at short notice.

All you need to do is call us to arrange a meeting or make changes over the phone.  Additionally, it is important to note that we always meet with our clients one month into starting their care with us, so we can assess and make changes as appropriate as well.

We appreciate that everyone is different and try to match Carers to clients subject to availability.  We love to hear from clients so if at any time you find yourself not liking the services of a particular Carer you simply need to call.  We will always do our utmost to meet your needs However, sometimes change is not immediately possible as Carers’ availabilities vary enormously. In this case, we aim to solve your problem as quickly as possible, providing support for your current Carer to resolve the problem and keeping you and your family up to date with future options.

All our care staff are required to complete mandatory training which is updated on a regular basis.  In addition to this, nearly 75% of our Carers have additional QCF training. You can have peace of mind knowing all our Carers are of the highest standard and are eager to make you as comfortable as possible.

We operate with a higher ratio of Management to Carers than many firms, which puts us at a great advantage. This ensures that your needs are always being met or, even better, exceeded. A member of the Management team (two Care Managers, a Deputy Care Manager and a Senior Carer) are always available. They also regularly supervise Carer visits and one of the four is on call 24/7.

Additionally, we operate with a computerised scheduling system which the Carers see on their work mobile phones.  Carers scan in and out when they arrive at and leave your home and this shows up in the office. This way we are assured that the carer has visited you. The system also allows us to send the Carers notes re any changes in your needs for your next visit so you don’t need to worry.
